Einar

Einar ZetheliusEinar Zethelius, born 1990, come from Estuna close to the city of Norrtälje just northeast of Stockholm in Sweden.

He’s been standing on stage since young age and master several different types of the old traditional Swedish bowed instrument called nyckelharpa and is specialized in the appurtenant folk music from Sweden and the nearby Nordic countries.
He’s been studying at schools like Gotlands Folkhögskola and the Eric Sahlström Institute fore some of the most prominent nyckelharpa teachers there is to find and recieved his bachelor degree in folk music from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm 2017.

Currently he’s doing his master research project exploring psychological aspects of on stage perfomances and in addition to Farandi Einar is also active in other groups such as the Swedish folk trio Tagelfar and a Scandinavian duo project Guro & Einar.

Furthermore he’s been sudying pedagogy and happily shares his discoveries by teaching the nyckelharpa at various folkmusic camps and courses throughout the year.
